The Public Transportation Open Data Council promotes open public transportation data and digital transformation in Japan's mobility sector. It has operated the Public Transportation Open Data Center since May 2019. On April 9, 2026, it began providing real-time information for 10 new operators to Apple Maps, bringing the total to 28.
